Our practice consists of three pediatricians certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and one Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. In addition to general pediatric training, we have expertise in neonatal critical care, adolescent health, and staff the Unity Hospital Newborn Special Care nursery. We hold teaching appointments in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry and the St. John Fisher School of Nursing. We teach medical students, future nurse practitioners, and physician assistants.
You can be confident your children are in good hands with our physicians. Our physicians have additional training and credentialing including Adolescent Health, Lactation Certification, Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
We admit patients to, and attend to patients at Golisano Children's Hospital at Strong, Rochester General Hospital, Highland Hospital, and Unity Hospital.
Our Doctors
Gretchen Smith-Burke, M.D.
Dr. Smith-Burke is a graduate of The University of Virginia School of Medicine and completed her residency in Pediatrics at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry. She is the Medical Director of the Unity Hospital Newborn Nursery. Dr. Smith-Burke is Board Certified in Pediatric Medicine and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She is a graduate of The University of Virginia.
Ella Rozin, M.D.
Dr. Rozin is Board Certified in Pediatrics and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She has over 20 years of experience in pediatric and adolescent medicine. Dr. Rozin is a graduate of the Belarussian State Medical University and completed her residency in Pediatrics at the University of Nebraska and Creighton University combined residency program. Her special interests include newborns and infant care, asthma, dermatology, child development, attention deficit disorders.
Shari Hogan, P.N.P.
Shari grew up in Greece, NY and graduated from the University of Rochester School of Nursing – Pediatric Nurse Practitioner program. She has over 20 years of experience working with children and families in Rochester. In the past, Shari has held leadership roles for the school-based health center at Franklin High School and was the Medical Director for the Rush-Henrietta School District. Shari specializes in diagnosing and treating children and adolescents with mental illness. In addition, Shari is a Reiki Master teacher specializing in holistic therapies to help kids relax and feel better naturally.
